THE OPEN WINE CELLAR FESTIVAL

Who and What: wine communities in Znojmo wine region - Znojmo, Novy Šaldorf, Šatov, Chvalovice, Dobšice; 30 wineries, 300 wines with wines wines of VOC Znojmo, young wines and many others

Just a few days after Just a few days after opening St. Martin´s bottles from the vintage 2011 The Open Wine Cellar Festival offers the best of Znojmo, what wine lover could wish for. Cellars in Znojmo, Dobšice, Šaldorf, Šatov and Chvalovice will offer meetings with winemakers and the first debates on this year´s crop. The magic of sandstone cellars, whose corridors reach impressive lenghts and attractive cellar lanes will offer concerts of folclore and follk musicians, entertainment programs about wine and tours through unique cellar labyrinths. For lovers of good food will be prepared a gourmet menu through which you will discover the secrets of marriage of wine and food. The entrance fee involves a tasting glass, printed festival guide, which offers profiles of winemakers, maps of municipalities, an overview of the program and other important information as well as the bus transportation timetable. Buses will transport visitors from municipality to municipality and will run all day at intervals twenty minutes.

Organisation / tickets: each guest gets tasting glass with printed program (CZ), ticket costs for 2 days 890 CZK, 990 CZK on the spot, the tickets are available in our e-shop, via Ticketstream or on the festival spot

The cellars are open

• On Saturday, the 19th November 10 to 21 clock
• On Sunday, the 20th November 10 to 15 clock

When and where is the registry?

• The tickets and tha startpackages are available at the registry location in Loucký klášter, Znojmo on Saturday the 19th November 2011 between 8.00 und 15.00 clock or Sunday, the 20th November 2011 between 10.00 und 12.00 clock.

How many cellars will you manage to visit?

• You have to recon that the wine sample is at least ¼ dl, so you will not manage to visit all cellars
• We recommend you to plan a day around 15 cellar, which can mean the tasting of up to 100 wine samples
• Visit all the places. Every basement is different. Discover your very own!

Replacement of broken glass

• The replacement of broken glass will be possible at several points on which we will inform you in the printed guide

A common question: Can I bring my own glass?

• During the time of the festival wine will be poured only in the official festival glasses, with your glass you will not get any sample

Shuttle
Like every year the shuttle bus transportation will be available, which will go in a regular cycle between the various towns en route

Orientation in the place

• The starter pack includes a festival guide with general plans, in which the position of the open basement and other important points are plotted.
• For clarity, the cellars are numbered.
